Where culture is the key to language acquisition.
It was early April 2007 in Sevilla, Spain. I was super young and had no idea what Semana Santa was. All I knew was that the costumes gave me the creeps (::sorry Sevilla::). So I decided to spend part of my school week off in Portugal and part of it in Sevilla, Spain, my host city for my 6 month long study abroad trip. When I returned to Spain, I was pleasantly surprised by Semana Santa. Watch me talk about my transformative experience below!
