¡Hola mi gente linda! Today, I’d like to share with you a very special freebie for la Navidad: a 7 page FREE introduction to la Navidad for one of the most iconic locales that know how to do Christmas right–Puerto Rico!

Puerto Rico boasts one of the longest holiday seasons, beginning with decorations before Thanksgiving and ending with celebrations close to the beginning of February (depending on where you’re from)! The uniqueness of this island’s celebrations makes it ideal for studying in Spanish class, and what better entry point than music! This music packet includes a look at popular instruments, a definition and examples of parrandas (caroling), a song study of the popular aguinaldo (carol) “Dame la mano Paloma,” along with other interactive features. This packet is part of a larger project, called Christmas in Puerto Rico Digital Notebook/Webquest. That too is part of a larger series called Christmas in Puerto Rico! You can find the bundle or individual items at TeachersPayTeachers.com in my store, The Cultural Classroom by Sra. Perryman.
